Altar Society
The St. Cecilia Altar Society is a Catholic Women’s organization of the Church. The primary purpose is to provide the needs of the Altar and to enhance the celebration of the Mass. All ladies of the parish are members of the Altar Society. There are no membership dues. The group meets the first Thursday of the month, September through May.

Bereavement Committee
Volunteers are called upon to assist with planning and hosting the annual Evening Prayer Service for the Deceased each November, and send condolence cards when a parishioner experiences a death of a loved one.
Center of Hope - Food Pantry
Volunteers collect non-perishable food items donated in the back of church and deliver to Center of Hope each month.

Church Cleaning Team
Team members clean the church weekly and deep cleaning during Advent and Lent.
Communications
The parish bulletin is compiled by the parish secretary from items submitted by parishioners and also from outside the parish. It is an important communication tool for all parishioners and visitors. It is published weekly, with deadline of Tuesday at noon for articles. Volunteers assist with taking photos and/or providing articles for the website.

Family Fun Night
This event is held in the spring and is sponsored by the PTO. Volunteers help prepare, set up, work booths, and clean up from this event. Together everyone can make this evening fun and memorable for all ages. Meetings are held accordingly to prepare.

Flower Beds
Volunteers (or small groups) are responsible for planting and maintaining one of the six flower beds outside the church.
Grounds Keeping
Volunteers assist with mowing and edging the parish grounds on a weekly basis or as needed.
Knights of Columbus
The Knights of Columbus are a Catholic, family-oriented, fraternal service organization. It is Council # 6761 that is associated with St. Cecilia Parish. Our members and their families are dedicated to the ideals of charity, unity, fraternity, and patriotism. We work to benefit our communities, Church, and fellow men. Men of the parish, who are practicing Catholics, 18 years of age and older are eligible to become a Knight. Meetings are held once a month on Thursday evening.

Lord’s Diner
This activity requires a food handler’s permit. Youth 12 and older are encouraged to participate. The parishioner needs to be able to spend one evening, the second Thursday of a month, at the Lord’s Diner at Central and Broadway. Time commitment is 3-4 hours.
The Lord’s Diner serves an evening meal 365 days a year. A small paid staff, assisted by more than 6,000 volunteers representing many faiths and denominations prepare and serve a hot, nutritious meal in a spirit of compassion, respect and loving service.

New Mother Ministry
Volunteers provide support to new mothers in the parish by providing meals and fellowship.

Parent Teacher Organization (PTO)
This organization is made up of parents of students that attend St. Cecilia Parish School. This provides a time for parents to come together and share ideas with each other and the organizational board. The meetings are held in the evening every other month during the school year, beginning in September.

Parish Maintenance
Volunteers serve the parish by performing minor maintenance in the various buildings including carpentry, electrical, painting, plumbing work.

Respect Life
Volunteers work for the respect of all human life from conception to natural death through prayer, education, awareness of legislative issues, and outreach to organizations.
Scouts leader/helper
Scouts are youth organizations that help teach young boys and girls how to become active in our communities. It gives them an opportunity to lean and have fun at their skill level while giving back to the community and interacting with other youth their own age outside of a school setting. It gives youth the opportunity to receive awards and recognition for jobs well done and build self-esteem and character. Team leaders need to commit time and talent to organize meetings and activities.

Snow Removal
Volunteers assist with removing snow and ice during the winter months as needed.

WECARE Committee
In your box of stewardship envelopes, you will find a pink envelope for each month. The donations received in these envelopes are used to help parishioners who are having financial difficulties due to loss of job, injury, health, and/or natural disasters.
