Adorers pray before the Blessed Sacrament from 8:30a.m. until 8:30p.m. on Wednesdays. At least two adorers are preferred for each hour available.

Altar Server
This person assists the pastor with the ceremony of the celebration of Mass and special liturgical events. Any parishioner, 4th-12th grade may be trained. This person should know about the various items and procedures that are used in the celebration of the Mass and also understand the meaning of the liturgical sections of the Mass. Respectful clothing should be worn, even if the cassock will cover their clothes.

Cantor
Vocalists provide musical leadership to the congregation during weekend Masses and should be musically inclined.
Choir
Choir members lead Mass singing to enhance the full and active liturgical participation. Ability to read music is helpful, but not required.

Church Environment
Volunteers are responsible for appropriate liturgical decorations and displays and altar flowers that reflect our Catholic faith.
Greeter
Any parishioner can participate in this ministry. The function of this ministry is to greet parishioners upon entering the Church for the Celebration of Mass, often opening the door as they enter. This person should be available at least 15-20 minutes before Mass begins. This ministry is encouraged to visit with those who enter the vestibule and be especially attentive to visitors. This is a great opportunity for all family members to participate at the same time in the same ministry.
Lectors
Members proclaim the Word of God during the celebration of the Mass. Volunteers must convey a high regard for the Liturgy of the Word and be comfortable speaking in public. Ages: middle school and up. Training is mandatory.
Instrumentalist
Musicians enhance the full and active liturgical participation of the Mass by providing instrumental accompaniment. Instruments, such as piano, organ, guitar, flute, strings, etc. are most welcome.
Offertory Gifts
Gift Bearers represent the congregation by bringing forward the gifts of bread and wine for the Offertory at each Mass. Gift Bearers must be comfortable with processing down the main aisle of the church and commit to serving when assigned by the Church Office. Mass time preference will be accommodated.
Prayer Line
Prayer Line members pray, upon request, for those who are ill, grieving or suffering in any way. Prayer partners are notified of particular prayer requests by the Flocknote system (via text, email or phone). A prayer request is initiated by contacting the church office during normal business hours or Joni Peterson if after hours (see contact info below.

Rosary Groups
Volunteers gather in host family residences to recite the rosary, pray for special intentions, and conduct spiritual activities (typically on Friday mornings).
Rosary Leader At Diversicare of Haysville Nursing Home
Volunteers are responsible for leading the Rosary at the nursing home weekly on Wednesday mornings.
Rosary Leader Before Mass
Volunteers are responsible for leading the Rosary 30 minutes before the weekend Masses.
Sacristan
Volunteers assist the pastor to prepare the sacred vessels of the Church ready for each sacramental celebration. Time commitment is 15-30 minutes before and after Mass. Sacristans are appointed by Father.

Seven Sisters Apostolate
Seven Sisters Apostolate is a ministry in the parish for women who commit to praying one hour every week in front of the tabernacle for our parish priest, St. Cecilia Church and community. The ministry group includes seven women (and substitutes) who commit one day of the week to pray (so all seven days are covered). We are always looking to start additional groups!

Traveling Statue for Vocations
Individuals or families pray for vocations while keeping the statue for a one-week period in their home.
Ushers
Ushers help locate seats for Mass attendees, maintain decorum and dignity during the celebration of the Mass, take up the collection, hand out bulletins and check pews and commons areas after Masses.
